Your entry into professional life doesn't have to be a solo project! With NextGen membership, you have a strong network at your side during your first career steps and beyond – at a discounted price and with exclusive events!

NextGen is specifically aimed at Career starters, Young Professionals and Students in their final semesters, who want to network early, further their education and find career direction.

The focus is on networking events, practical insights, and the exchange with professionals from various industries – not Performance pressure or classic career promises. The aim is to facilitate entry into the creative and media industry and to build long-term connections to practical experience.

Who is NextGen intended for?

The NextGen membership is aimed at:

  • Graduates & Young Professionals at the beginning of their career (max. 3 years after graduation)
  • Student from the advanced study phase 

The focus is on the career stage – not on age!

What does medianet NextGen offer?

With a NextGen membership, you secure:

  • Exchange at eye level with experienced industry players & companies, also across generations 
  • Access to exclusive NextGen networking events and selected medianet events
  • practical impulses on Career paths, trends & working realities 
  • early involvement in the medianet network including voting rights and limited access to services across all subject areas
The NextGen package for companies – for your employees!

Die NextGen-Packagese enable companies to Junior members (Trainees, Juniors, Working Students) specifically into the business network of medianet to integrate. The package is suitable for both existing and existing systems. medianet-Member companies as well as for Non-member companies available and serves the structured promotion of young talent as well as the intergenerational exchange of knowledge and experience.

Please note: Existing medianet memberships automatically include free NextGen access.

Requirements & Proof of Evidence

NextGen members are required to independently and promptly prove their respective status. Proof of status must be submitted unsolicited to member management at members@medianet-bb.de to be submitted: 

  • upon joining the membership and 
  • once a year at the end of the calendar year 

Acceptable proof of enrollment (during ongoing training or studies) includes a current Certificate of enrollment or training or the certificate of participation in a recognized Further education or qualification program, or (in the first 3 years after graduation) the respective Graduation certificateThe decisive factor is the graduation date shown on the certificate.

If the required proof is not submitted on time, the membership will automatically be converted to a regular individual membership at the corresponding contribution rate.  

How much does NextGen membership cost?

Membership costs depend on the current level of education and are structured as follows:

  • Entry-level professionals: €100 annual fee 
  • Trainees, students, pupils: 20% discount → €80 annual fee
