The REAVES project platform paves the way for a coherent, cross-sectoral funding strategy for the film, games, and music industries in the Baltic Sea region and supports authorities, educational institutions, and industry stakeholders in retaining young talent and ensuring the resilience and further development of the cultural and creative industries. REAVES consolidates the results of 22 EU projects, including its predecessor project BSG-Go!, which was also supported by medianet.
The term "cultural and creative industries" often suggests a unified sector, but its sub-sectors differ considerably. For example, cultural heritage institutions like opera houses differ significantly from commercially oriented entities like pop music bands. These differences lead to silos in which industry players work in isolation on similar challenges.
The REAVES platform unites projects from the film, music and gaming industries and lays the Focus on collaboration, to address common challenges and overcome regional and sectoral silos. By aligning goals and pooling resources, participating projects optimize their solutions and improve public sector support. Together, they create a robust ecosystem that focuses on talent retention and innovation through regional and cross-sectoral efforts, thus ensuring a sustainable future.
medianet acts as a content partner for the topics of "Financing & Marketing" and "Investor Reach-Out".
The project, which is planned to last two and a half years and involves 13 other national and international partners, aims to consolidate and deepen the results of previous projects, make them accessible to the public, and gain generally valid insights into the cultural and creative industries.
