games:net, an initiative of the corporate network media:net berlinbrandenburg, receives additional personnel to intensify their activities in the games sector. With Lars Vormann as new Head of games:net, a well-known face is stepping on the stage of media:net. As former Head of gamescom & Public Events at game – Verband der deutschen Gamesbranche, his operations as project lead and booth operator at several fairs and conventions as well as corporations with Microsoft for introducing the Xbox 360, Kinect for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Vormann brings the experience to continue the work of Maria Wagner at games:net.

Maria Wagner, Head of games:net, will support the team for one more month before leaving to become self-employed with nowMedia. nowMedia is a service provider for wide reach products, such as live streams, podcasts and video productions and offers custom-made coachings for companies.

To strengthen the network and the online presence of #GamesCapitalBerlin games:net hired an editor and PR role, starting today. Jörn Leue, former editor in chief for the online gaming magazine OnlineWelten.com and PR manager GSA at Wargaming.net, will fulfill this position with his long lasting experiences and contacts within the industry.

#GamesCapitalBerlin was created last year as an umbrella brand on behalf of the Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Energie und Betriebe by Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technik. games:net was in charge of the editorial content and will continue their efforts.
