The BERLIN meets POLAND team is back from Krakow with a lot of new impressions, insights and contacts!

Digital Dragons is Central and Eastern Europe’s prime games industry conference addressed to representatives of the digital entertainment sector and took place on 21st and 22nd of May in Krakow, Poland. Digital Dragons promote the games sector, one of the fastest growing sectors in the digital entertainment industry. The main goal is to establish a platform for Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Academia (B2A) relations in the games industry. Thanks to the presence of a vast number of games producers, publishers, venture capital funds, and representatives of the games industry media, Digital Dragons provides a perfect opportunity for business contacts, staff recruitment, and product promotion launches.

BERLIN meets POLAND organised a shared Berlin booth at Digital Dragons, and 10 Berlin companies travelled with the project team: Altagram, GA Hochschule der digitalen Gesellschaft, gamania, GAME CHANGER – HTW Berlin, GameDuell, Indieadvisor, Paymentwall, Polnisches Institut Belin, Tailorstage und Wooga.

In addition, a Matchmaking Lunch took place on Thursday, 21st of May 2015 in a charming restaurant close to the venue. Around 60 representatives of Polish games companies attended this lunch and were happy to network, meet again existing business partners and make new business contacts in the frame of a delicious BBQ. Nicola Pinder and Claudia Wuthe took care of the participants, arranged the most suitable seating and connected interested company representatives with each other.

A panel session with the topic “Brain drain – should I stay or should I go” completed our program. Around 25 people listened to the interesting discussion between Pawel Miechowski (11 bit studios), Andreas Bundi (Wooga), Szymon Koscielniak (GameDuell), Sylvius Lack (GA Hochschule der digitalen Gesellschaft) und Ivan Kovalyov (Paymentwall).

Thank you to everyone who joined and supported the team at the booth, lunch and panel and to the Krakow Technology Park team which organised the successful conference! You will get an update on the future project activities here soon!
